Brown Sugar Ham Glaze

Ingredients:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
1. Combine the Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, add 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of honey, and 1/2 cup of Dijon mustard. Stir until they begin to combine into a smooth mixture.
2. Add the Spices and Vinegar: To the saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Stir everything together to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
3. Simmer the Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent the sugar from burning or sticking to the pan. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly and the sugar dissolves completely.
4. Brush on the Ham: When your ham is about 30 minutes away from being fully baked, brush the glaze generously over the surface of the ham. Be sure to coat it evenly, allowing the glaze to soak into the meat for added flavor.
5. Continue Baking: Place the ham back in the oven and bake for the remaining 30 minutes, brushing the ham with more glaze every 10 minutes to build up layers of flavor.
6. Final Glaze Application: Once the ham is finished, remove it from the oven and brush the final layer of glaze over the top for a shiny, sweet finish.
