Bourbon-Glazed Onion & Bacon Jam Burgers

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 burger buns, toasted
For the Onion & Bacon Jam:
1 cup diced onion
1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
1/4 cup bourbon
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions:
Make the Bacon Jam: In a skillet over medium heat, cook onions and bacon together until onions are soft. Add bourbon, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and smoked paprika. Cook until reduced to a jam-like consistency.
Cook the Burgers: Shape ground beef into patties, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your preferred doneness. Top with cheese in the last minute of cooking.
Assemble: Place patties on toasted buns, add a generous scoop of bourbon-glazed onion and bacon jam, and enjoy!
